Ntenje Katota - Tour team 2007 |
"Dance4Life means a lot to me. It has become part of my life and has given me the energy and skill to continue to raise awareness not only in my community but also out side my community it has given me a platform to speak on behalf of the voiceless children that are affected by HIV, it is sad that not much is been done when it come to access to better treatment but dance4life has given me the hope and strength to go on raising awareness and campaign and that some day hope is coming for people living with HIV in the world and especially Africa. It is a long road but it will be silly if we decide to give up we might not know how close we are. Lets continue the journey.

Simon Porter - Tour team 2006 |
"Being a member of the dance4life tour team was an exciting and inspiring experience. It opened my eyes about a lot of things surrounding the HIV pandemic, both here in the UK and on a worldwide scale. Most of all, my involvement with D4L confirmed my faith in the unifying power of music and dance, and reinforced my belief that young people can be a genuine force for change within the world today. "Being part of the UK Dance4Life event was a fantastic opportunity - seeing young people dancing across the globe for HIV / AIDS was really something special and I was proud to have taken part. Nowadays, you just can't talk enough about the importance of safer sex - remember you've gotta strap it up before you slap it up." - Tim Westwood, Radio One DJ and D4L UK ambassador

Why Participate???
Dance4Life is an easy way for teachers to take on an exciting initiative to help educate their students about HIV and AIDS with full support from our team. Our programme can help teachers to cover their Citizenship and PSHE Curriculum requirements through our Tour Team and our Global Educators
The students involved will participate in an exciting global project, and will have the opportunity to unite with contemporaries around the world. Young people are given the chance to realise their capacity to promote change.
Throughout the four stages of our Schools Project (Dance4Life Tour Team, Agents of Change, Life Skills Programme, and the BIG Event), students will develop key skills, such as communication, organisation, and teamwork.
Our Team will teach students important, life-saving information about the HIV virus and how it is transmitted; about the spread of HIV on both a local and a global scale; and about the powerful social consequences that stigma and discrimination have on the spread of the virus.
Participation in the Dance4Life Schools Project will make students more socially aware, global citizens.
