SHINE
The SHiNE project, part of Newham NHS Primary Care Trust, works to further sexual and reproductive health education. SHINE is a free and confidential young people’s contraceptive and sexual health service for all young people aged 24 or under.
As well as providing workshops in schools and colleges around sexual health, contraception and relationships, including training for those working with young people, SHiNE also runs 6 free and confidential drop-in clinics for young people in the London Borough of Newham, England.
The SHiNE team have enthusiastically supported the development and implementation of Dance 4 Life in the UK, providing training around HIV and working with young people for the D4L UK tour team, attending the big D4L London event in November 2006 and providing sexual and reproductive health education workshops in participating Newham schools.
