SPW is looking for a highly motivated individual with excellent communication, organisation and inter-personal skills to coordinate the Dance4Life programme in the UK. Based in London, the Dance4Life Coordinator’s responsibilities will include:


Duties

  • Programme planning and strategy – In conjunction with the UK Programme Manager, develop annual objectives and operational plans for the Dance4Life programme, ensuring all outputs and outcomes are met.
  • Personnel management - Direct line management of Dance4Life Programme Officer, Office Interns and programme volunteers to ensure the successful delivery of the Dance4Life school workshop tour and other programme activities.
  • Programme coordination – coordinate all areas of the programme and provide direct support to the Programme officer, interns and tour team in programme areas.
  • Partnership Development - In conjunction with the UK Programme Manager and UK Country Director, develop partnerships and networks with relevant individuals and organisations to enable SPW to resource and deliver the Dance4Life programme.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation – In conjunction with the UK Programme Manager, monitor and evaluate the programme.
  • Donor Management - To ensure accurate and timely reports are submitted to donors in line with requirements to secure future funding.
  • Finance and fundraising To oversee the programme budgets assist with fundraising to ensure the long term security of the programme.
  • Skills and Qualifications:
  • A University Degree or relevant work/voluntary experience.
  • Understanding of the global HIV and AIDS pandemic and its impact on development
  • Experience of delivering projects or programmes either in the international development sector or equivalent
  • Experience of working with young people using non-formal education
  • Experience of line managing staff or volunteers
  • Experience of volunteering, campaigning or fundraising for development issues
  • Experience of delivering training or facilitating groups
  • Good IT, written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience of budget management
