Global Educators training 2008
Calling all Global Educators!
Following on from the Dance4Life college tour, a series of workshops on global education and poverty will be delivered in schools by trained Global Educators.
We are always on the search for new recruits!
If you have experience through volunteering in a developing country or have attained considerable knowledge on HIV/AIDS, poverty and other global issues, you can become a Global Educator. This is an opportunity to share your knowledge and passion with young people in the UK and encourage them to take action to support young people in developing countries. The commitment is minimal – 2 one hour workshops to a group of 16 – 18 year olds in sixth forms or colleges that are convenient for you and attending the training weekend in September.
Residential training weekend - 6th and 7th September.
The weekend will focus on introducing Dance4Life and the Global Education programme, session planning, linking Global Educators with colleges and sixth forms that have been signed up for the Dance4Life Tour, updating everyone on the plans for Dance4Life 2008/09, providing support on getting your workshops set up, and on practicing delivery of workshops in colleges and sixth forms. New and existing Global Educators are all welcome to attend. For more information, or if you wish to sign up please email us.
If you are a teacher and you would be interested in having Global Educators deliver workshops at your school, please do not hesitate to contact us.
