Dance4Life UK 2007

Tour team teaching the UK freestyleDance4Life ran a school tour in 2007, visiting 25 schools in England and Wales and reaching 5,000 young people with vital information about HIV and AIDS - not only for their own health but to help young people around the world who are affected by HIV and AIDS.

The Dance4Life team toured around the country in October and November 2007. Following this and leading up to World AIDS Day (1st December) schools took part in the Dance4Life Week of Action where Dance4Life school teams ran awareness and fundraising activities in their schools. Schools in Newham and Tower Hamlets are also taking part in Sexual Reproductive Health workshops run by Options and Shine.

In 2008 the message will continue with the Global Educators delivering workshops covering the topics: HIV and Poverty, Access to Treatment, and Acting as Agents of Change. And of course lots of planning for 2008 to include more schools in the Schools Project and to have a huge Event at the end of 2008!

We are now looking to expand our reach to sixthforms and FE colleges in England for our tour in 2008.  If you would like more information, please click here! or email us.
