Dance4Life 2006
On 25 November 2006, the Saturday before World AIDS Day, we celebrated the Schools Projects' finale. We danced in different countries, with tens of thousands of young people worldwide!
Twelve countries were involved in Dance4Life last year. More countries will follow, so that in 2012 the whole world will be dancing.
The BIG Event creates incredible momentum. Imagine yourself, dancing along with others all over the planet, seeing each other through internet and satellite connections. All dressed in white. Dancing the same Drill. Dance4Life demands the right to health and education, and together we can fight HIV and AIDS.
You and your fellow dancers will make it clear to the media, to world leaders, to citizens throughout the world that this is our greatest global challenge yet. The silence and taboos, still so dominant, can be broken. We need you to break them with us!
Through national mass media campaigns and live broadcasting millions of viewers were informed and involved in 2006. Nationally renowned artists, musicians and other role models contributed to this stunning Dance4Life Big Event.
